The oil of the evening primrose or evening primrose belongs to the plant family of the evening primrose plants and contains many polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acids. The oil of the seeds contains at least 9% of the highly esteemed gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). The GLA (omega-6 fatty acid) occurs naturally in plants and animals and can be converted by the body into signal substances. Therefore, supplementing your diet with mono- and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids can be useful. Vitamin E has the ability to render free radicals harmless and thus also protects the fatty acid in the product from oxidative destruction.
