The brand alva naturkosmetik has been a recognised specialist in the field of natural cosmetics for decades. As one of the first companies on the market, alva recognised early on that care products do not only have to be convincing in terms of effectiveness. Since the foundation of the company in 1988, the name alva has therefore stood for excellent product quality with ingredients that come from organic farming or wild collection whenever possible.

Originating from the ecological movement, the first steps of the company began with the sale of organic detergents at weekly markets. Other products were quickly added. In the nineties alva was one of the first companies to import the versatile tea tree oil from Australia. With the tea tree oil, the company achieved a breakthrough on the international market for natural cosmetics. Today, alva sells a wide range of care and decorative natural cosmetics and dietary supplements.

As a trustworthy partner of retailers and consumers, alva bears responsibility from day one for sustainable and resource-saving production. Over three decades, honesty and transparency have ensured many satisfied customers in over 30 countries worldwide. Even though product development, purchasing and sales today follow modern, contemporary corporate principles, the company's self-image has remained unalterable in thirty years. This is illustrated by the self-imposed alva standards that govern the daily work of all employees: Ingredients are always selected according to quality and not price criteria. alva uses high quality organic base oils of first cold pressing. All ingredients are free of genetically manipulated raw materials, free of parabens, paraffins and mineral oils as well as PEG compounds. The deodorants are alcohol-free, all shower gels are free of laureth and lauryl sulphates. The company from Bissendorf in Osnabrück is registered on the positive list of the German PETA. Packaging, raw materials and services are purchased as regionally as possible and parcel shipments are sent CO²-neutral. Effectiveness tests are carried out exclusively by independent dermatologists and almost all products are certified.
Compliance with alva standards has led to many consumers placing great trust in the brand. In Ökotest ingredient tests, alva products have always been rated "very good". More and more vegan products are now added to the range.
