skin aging

Characteristics of skin aging are an increasing exhaustion of the skin metabolism and the decay of the regulation and repair mechanisms of the skin.

The skin becomes dull, rough and dry, more sensitive and due to the decreasing skin metabolism the epidermis becomes thinner and more vulnerable. The skin-protecting fat-moisture film deteriorates in its barrier function, whereby pimples or microbial skin irritations increase. At the same time, the skin loses its elasticity and resilience, and wrinkles and fine lines become increasingly visible.
