Impure skin

Impure skin

Impure skin prone to acne is characterized by disorders. An excessive hereditary cornification narrows the outlet of the sebaceous gland (follicle), which is no problem until puberty. Under the hormonal influence, however, the activity of the sebaceous glands increases. The handicapped sebum flow causes a backwater of sebum, i.e. blackhead formation. Bacteria can multiply particularly well in the excess of tallow, which is characterised above all by a reduced content of linoleic acid and antimicrobial ceramide precursors (sphingolipids, phytosphingosines). Ample inflammatory substances are released and the blackhead develops into a pimple.
